Bulk sending allows you to send a verified WhatsApp template to a list of contacts all at once: an announcement, a reminder, or a newsletter. You can track who received the message, who read it, and who was skipped—all on the same screen.

How to Access the Screen
Use the "Campaigns › WhatsApp › Bulk Messages" option in the left menu, or click the "Campaigns" button on the WhatsApp message templates card on the Settings › Channels page. You’ll need to view WhatsApp campaigns to see the list, and you’ll need to create and send a bulk WhatsApp campaign to set up and send a campaign. Since this screen is located in the Settings section, it also requires administrator access.
Requirements
- A linked and active WhatsApp number.
- At least one template approved by Meta. Only approved templates appear in the template list.
- Recipient consent: Messages are sent only to those who have given their consent to receive them (see details below).
1. Prepare the draft
- New Campaign — Click the "New Campaign" button at the top of the screen; a panel will open on the right.
- Campaign Name — Enter a name that only you will see; it will not be sent to recipients.
- Template — Select one of the approved templates. As soon as you make your selection, a preview of the message and the variable fields that need to be filled in will appear.
- Audience — Select either "Phone number list" or "People in this workspace."
- Scheduling — Optionally, enter the date and time of delivery. If you leave this field blank, delivery will begin as soon as you click the "Send" button.
- Create a draft — Click the "Create Draft" button. No message is sent at this step.
If you enter {{contact.name}}, {{contact.first_name}}, {{contact.email}}, or {{contact.phone}} in variable fields, the value will be populated with that person’s information for each recipient.
Bulk Options
List of phone numbers
Enter a number along with the country code on each line. You can add a name after the comma: +90 555 111 22 33, Ahmet. This name is used in the {{contact.name}} variable. For domestic numbers starting with 0, the leading 0 is replaced with the default country code (+90). Even if the same number is entered multiple times, only one message is sent; unrecognized numbers remain on the list but are skipped.
People in this workspace
Sends the message to your registered customers. You can narrow down the audience by selecting a tag from the drop-down list, or you can leave the “All people with a phone number” option selected. The maximum recipient limit (default 1,000, maximum 50,000) prevents you from accidentally sending the message to your entire customer list; if the audience exceeds this number, only the most recently added customers will be included. Archived and blocked customers are not included in the audience.
The audience is locked as soon as the draft is created. People added to the tag later will not be included in this campaign; the report will always show the list as it was at the time the draft was created.
2. Start the submission
Click on a campaign in the list; the details panel will open. After verifying the template and recipients, click the "Send" button at the bottom. The button displays the number of recipients in the queue, for example, "Send to 250 people."
- If you’ve set a schedule, the campaign will wait until that time and start automatically when the time comes.
- Sending occurs in the background at a rate of approximately 100 messages per minute; the numbers update automatically while the screen is open.
- Once all recipients have been processed, the campaign status will change to "Completed."
A sent WhatsApp message cannot be recalled. The "Stop Remaining" option only stops messages still in the queue; these recipients are considered skipped, and the campaign status changes to "Canceled."
Confirmation rule
A bulk send does not serve as confirmation. Messages are not sent to recipients who have not confirmed; those recipients are skipped, and the reason is noted next to their names.
- When someone sends a message to your WhatsApp number, the confirmation is saved.
- A person will be removed from the mailing list only if they type STOP, DUR, İPTAL, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE; sending a regular message afterward will not reverse this action.
- To resume receiving messages, the user must re-confirm by typing START, BAŞLA, EVET, YES, or SUBSCRIBE.
Posting limits
- Message Limit → Meta sets a limit on the number of different people you can message in a 24-hour period (50, 250, 1,000, 10,000, or 100,000). Once the limit is reached, sending stops; the remaining messages are sent later, and a note indicating this appears in the details panel.
- Number Quality → If your meta number’s quality drops to red, the sending of templates in the marketing category will be paused and recipients will be skipped.
- Daily Limit → The number of messages your workspace can send across all channels in a single day is limited to 100,000.
Read the report
The bar below each campaign shows progress; below it, you’ll see the numbers for Sent, Delivered, Read, Failed, Skipped, and In Queue. The Delivered and Read statuses are updated based on delivery notifications from WhatsApp.
You can narrow down the Recipients list in the Details panel using the Status filter (All, Sent, Queued, Skipped, Failed). Each row displays a number, the reason for non-delivery (if any), and the delivery status.
Every message sent is also posted to the recipient’s WhatsApp conversation in the CRM. If the customer replies, the response appears in your inbox under that conversation, and your team can continue the conversation from there. For phone numbers not already in the CRM, a customer record is created during the sending process.
Frequently Asked Questions
It says "No approved template"
Your template may not have been approved by Meta yet or may not have been synced to the CRM. Check the template’s status on the WhatsApp message templates card under Settings › Channels.
I added 500 people to the list; 480 received it
The difference lies in skipped or failed recipients: an unrecognized number, an unconfirmed contact, or a blocked delivery. In the Details panel, set the Status filter to "Skipped" or "Failed" to see the reason for each one.
Can I edit the draft?
No; once a draft has been created, the template, audience, and scheduling cannot be changed. Use the "Delete" button in the Details panel to remove the draft and create a new one. A campaign that is currently being sent cannot be deleted; you must first pause it using "Pause Remaining."
I have multiple WhatsApp numbers linked
This screen does not ask which number the message should be sent from. If you have more than one active WhatsApp number linked to your workspace, you cannot create a draft, and you will see an error message explaining this.
