Completing the Office Setup
On this page
When the Advisor software is first opened, it is in the "awaiting installation" state. The Setup wizard consists of six steps; three are required, and three can be postponed. You can reopen the wizard at any time from the installation bar on the top ribbon of the panel.
"Skip" is not a cancellation but a POSTPONEMENT: the skipped step remains on the progress bar and is reminded on the 2nd, 7th, and 21st days.
Required steps
- Firm Information and License — Your firm name is included in the header of tax returns and reports. If your license type is not YMM, the certification and review screens will remain disabled.
- Add taxpayers — You can enter them individually or import them in bulk using an Excel template. Without taxpayers, the ledger, Tax return, and e-document screens will be blank.
- Connect the e-Document Integrator — Enter your GİB integrator information. If there is no connection, e-invoice, e-archive, and e-ledger documents will remain as drafts only.
Optional steps
- Default VAT rate — If no rate is specified for an item manually entered into the pre-accounting system, this rate is applied. For most taxpayers, 20% is the correct choice.
- Define office staff — Who is handling which taxpayer’s work? If no assignments are made, tasks and reminders will remain unassigned.
- Set up predefined permission groups — the roles of Tax Advisor, Intern, and Pre-accounting Clerk are created with a single click.
The VAT rate is entered in the "SATIRA" field at the time of recording. Changing it later does not affect past entries—if it did, the basis for a submitted tax return would change.
- Intern role → Can enter records, but CANNOT APPROVE tax returns
- Pre-accounting → Accounts Receivable and Voucher Transactions; tax return screens are closed
- Certified Public Accountant → Prepares and approves tax returns
